Patti Gabriel has been taking photos in St. Louis for over two decades,
and now she's doing it in a brand new studio in Clifton Heights.

She found a niche in the 80s, shooting children on infrared red film
and then oil painting them. "I started shooting babies years ago, and
now I'm shooting their weddings, but I haven't gotten any older,"
Gabriel said laughing.
Since the early 90s, she's been shooting the magazine covers for
Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Patti is a pro at capturing
moments, whether it's a smiling baby, a proud father or a bride and
groom. Becoming a wedding shooter evolved over time. "It's word of
mouth if anything and thankfully my clients let me shoot it the way I
want to which is pretty much not poised," said Gabriel.
Melanie Evans is one of Patti's clients and is using Gabriel's photography to market her work as a ceramic sculpture.
Plans for more renovation are on the drawing board for next year.
