Cynthia and Kerry, both ordained ministers, started the wedding day at the Webster Groves Christian Church–a special place for them. It’s the very church where Cynthia was ordained, and the pastor who married them just happens to be a good friend of the loving couple, which added a personal touch to the beautiful ceremony. Afterwards, friends and family gathered at the Whittemore House to celebrate the union.
The gorgeous flower arrangements that burst with rich colors was courtesy of Petals Galore.
The Whittemore House, located just off the campus of Washington University, was the ideal location for such an intimate reception. Its interior architecture is just as elegant, if not more so, than its sophisticated brick exterior. The place’s warmth–everything from lighting to the wallpaper–has an inviting feeling.
And that’s only the inside.
The back of the house features a large patio ideal for cocktail hour and in this particular case, it offered guests a great view of the grassy grounds behind the building where Cynthia and Kerry slipped away for a few quick photos.
(**I have to include a very special thank you to Art Casolari, who is always a great help with each visit to the Whittemore House. Art, you’re wonderful. Every event I’ve photographed with you present has always gone so smoothly. I just wanted to take the time to tip my hat to you.**)
The always tasteful Catering St. Louis provided the evening’s meal.
Congratulations, Cynthia and Kerry!
